Where to start with this book. Some people write a book and its a story with a purpose and a plot. They write them in a way that gets you from A to B as quickly as possible and in a way that is high octane for a book.
The Firebirds Trail is different. Rather than a book or a story or a ride, it feels more like a world. Lousia Dwyer has put so much thought into the characters of this book that it oozes culture. She has designed various civilizations and their back stories. Rather than being in a rush to bring you to the world’s end and back, she steeps you in the world that she paints on the page.
Sound like I’m exaggerating a bit? Then I challenge you to read The Firebird’s Trail. I will warn you if you’re looking for something fast-paced and intense from the start then look elsewhere. Rather than hit the story at a hundred miles per hour she slowly builds the world through the eyes of her characters. Interactions and marriages, things that need observed. Its deep I warn you but you’ll enjoy it.
Even though Dwyer’s style of storytelling isnt my most preferred I still couldn’t put it down. I’m serious when my alarm went this morning I picked up the kindle and kept reading. Try it out and tell me what you think.
